Coloring bookmarks – print, color and read

In this part of Sweden, we have one week of winter break this week, and it’s FANTASTIC! 😀 A full week off from work to spend time together, do fun things, relax and ………. clean the house. Yes, we’re squeezing in a bit of clening too. I’ve listened to “The life-changing magic of tidying up” by Mari Condo as an audiobook and feel super inspired to tidy every inch of our apartment. Cleaning has never been this fun before!

A week off from work also means my son having friends over and me getting some “me-time”, which for me means time to design. 🙂

Boxes for Spring gifts, treats and favors

Today my sister came to visit with her kids and we went to the park for some snow fun. There’a a hill in the park that the kids used their snow rockets and sledges on. The sun had melted most of the snow and one side of the hill was completely green. But the shadowy side still had some snow and we had a blast.

We came home with red cheeks to eat some Chicken-noodle soup and played some board games as well as Nintendo. We ended the visit with coffee and oatmeal cookies. I feel some real nostalgia whenever I eat oatmeal cookies. My grandmother always used to serve them when we visited her as kids. Such fond memories!

Even thoug the snow is slowly fading away, spring feels far, far away. Winter is my least favorite season and I for one can’t wait for spring and warmer weather. To lessen some of my longing, I’ve started allowing myself to at least design a few things with spring in mind.

Homemade, handmade and homegrown – with love tags

Do you like to make handmadegifts, homemade treats or maybe something homegrown? I love to, but very often then doubt myself and wonder if what I’ve spent so much time makingis good enough. Is it just me? I think not. It’s so weird though, because I love to recieve handmade gifts and always adore what I get and know that my friends spent time making it just for me.

I like to attach little tags to gifts that are homemade so the recipient will know that it’s handmade. In our stressed society where time is more valuable than money, a handmade gift is something to show off!

Valentine’s Day printables – tags, popcorn boxes + giftcard holders

January can feel long after the holidays are over. We finally have some snow though that makes things brighter and also puts lots of smiles on the kids’ faces. Personally, I’m not a fan of the cold. I feeze easily and end up wearing layres and layres of clothes. I feel like a bag lady, but at least I’m keeping warm.

Even though the new year has just begun, February is just a few weeks Valentine’s day is a lot of fun, and I like to plan ahead. When I don’t I end up with a list of things that I thought about doing but never got around to. Celebrating Valentine’s day is not about grand gestures or fancy gifts. Usually it’s just my son and I and sweets. Plenty of sweets! 🙂 I think you should take advantage of every opportunity to show the people in your life that you care. Like I said, it’s not about the big things, but just a little something to show that you appreciate having them in your life. A note, a small gift or something homemade really are the best gifts is you ask me.
