In our family it’s mainly the kids who get Christmas gifts. Between us adults it mostly feels like exchanging money or things people don’t really want or need. So we skipped it a few years ago. Giving a small token of appreciation still fesl good though, usually some homemade candies. Given in a pretty box makes it look special too.
Pillow boxes are perfect for small gifts or treats, and so easy to make, even if you make a lot of them.
